I've done it successfully in the past, but now I am having issues and hope that someone can help me, so I can buy and download the Multiple Exposure app. So, on a Macbook in Chrome and I'm signed in to the site properly; and I can see my previous app downloads. I then go to the Multiple Exposure app page. When I click on 'Proceed to Purchase' it gives me a pop up that says 'The tools (PlayMemories Camera Apps Downloader) necessary for application download and USB communication to camera will be installed to the PC.' (Stupid assumption, just PC.) When I download it gives me the PC version, so I click on another link I see and I download the Mac installer.
The installer completes what appears to be normally. After my required reboot, I go back and it once again asks me to install the downloader! I do this process several times, but can never get around it continuing to want me to download the installer.

It turns out the installer is not an app, but a browser extension, and I do see it in my Chrome browser. I also went and did the same thing with Safari, but no luck there either.
Then I do some searching and I see that this does not work in MacOS Sierra. So I go to another mac which runs El Capitan. Same exact problems. I looked at the review comments for the Chrome extension and it seems no one can get it to work. What the hell do I have to do to get this to work?

Since I was able to do it before, I assume it was because I was on something earlier than El Capitan, and Sony has not updated the downloader. It's pretty damn crazy that first they have the gall to charge us for these apps, and then are too stupid to make the website work so we can pay them. Any help is appreciated. I went back in and successfully downloaded a free app. Feeling enbravened, I tried the purchase again. This time it didn't put me in the apps downloader loop, it brought me right to the purchase page. It referenced my credit card that I have associated with the account and said it was going to bill it for $4.99 and for me to confirm.
