I already made the re-install. It is very annoying. Thanks for NOT proposing only a re-install, because I'm not going to reinstall this expensive software every weeks. I'm on OS X El Captain OS and whenever I open microsoft applications, it crashes with below error. Applications- Excel, Word, OneNote. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling by clearing all library files as well and now i'm stuck!
I am having the same problem. I uninstalled Office 11 for Mac (v 14.6.6) and reinstalled, and it still crashes. I sat on hold for an hour and 17 minutes yesterday. The tech support seems to know very little about her own product. She said the last update was in October and it was 14.5.
I was assuming that the 14.6.6 update was the issue, but seeing that the person who posted this previously is on the new Office 365, then, it's apparently an overall issue with Office.
